Clubbing @ Aubar & My Saturday & Movie Reviews

Another weekend of partying!
(last one, promise... well, until AFTER my 2nd midterms!!)
Clubbing @ Aubar (20th of June, 2008)
Make-up check!
Me & Gayson.
Jo, Me & Mark.
The ladies: Sarah, Jo, Me, Tiffany & Michelle.
Me, Gayson & Nicole.
The music was pretty rocking but I didn't have as much fun as I did the weekend before. It could possibly be because I had zero urge to drink and was utterly sober that night ;)

My Saturday @ Granville Island, Tinseltown & E-Hwa (21st June, 2008)
Jay took me to his favourite chillout spot which is at Granville Island.
And it certainly is a really relaxing place.
The view from the pier.
We went into the Granville Market and bought some snacks to munch on while we enjoyed the breeze!
Jay with some Calamari!
Me with my Mexican Wrap!
Munch munch!
Vicious seagulls. Okay, fine. I didn't actually witness them being vicious or anything but Jay scared with with stories of how seagulls do sometimes snatch people's hotdogs right off their hands! So it's only natural that I was terrified of this particular seagull (which kept coming closer & closer) eye-balling my wrap!!
One of 'em shops in the market.
Fresh oysters & mussels. Don't ask me why I have this need to snap pictures of my favourite raw food... and well, food in general. I just do, okay.
Jay picking out some smelly cheese at the best deli in town (according to Jay... but he would know).
Mmm... sausage fest.
Me & Jay @ Granville Market!
After doing some grocery shopping, we headed down to Tinseltown in Downtown for a movie!
It was down to Incredible Hulk or Get Smart and well.. on impulse, we chose Get Smart.
But today (currently; as in 24th of June), I watched The Incredible Hulk so there'll be 2 reviews later!
Back to erm.. Saturday @ Tinseltown...
Spot the boobies. Hehe. (Waitaminit, I didn't mean MINE okayyy).
I like this pic. Maybe 'cause sometimes... I just wish I could do it to Jay ;) Heheheheh. Jussttt kidddingggggg.
After the movie, I felt very much like eating some good stonebowl rice so Jay brought me to-
E-Hwa for Dinner (21st of June, 2008)
It's a Korean restaurant, by the way.
With my stonebowl rice. Which was not... the greatest but least it satisfied my craving... somewhat. But am still grateful that Jay made the attempt to satisfy my craving! Apparently the veggie stonebowl rice was the best but I ordered the one with beef. I'm pretty carnivorous so it was hard to settle with veggie stonebowl rice.
We also ordered seafood soup which was.... well, seafood in.. soup.
Good times!

Movie Reviews
Get Smart
Steve Carell did a significantly better performance here then he did in Evan Almighty for sure! His character in this movie was just hilarious. I personally liked the movie a lot and Anne Hathaway is gorgeous as always. I adore all her coats that she had on! See now that I'm in Vancouver and it actually gets cold here, I've started noticing the coats and jackets people have on!
Anyway, liked the movie! Thought it was really enjoyable.

Satisfactory. Enjoyable.
Mediocre. Very Average.
Bored to Tears. Almost Slept.
Fuctionally Retarded. Left Cinema.
First of all, not that I have anything against Edward Norton, but... butt.... ERIC BANA just seems more... MAN than Norton. And Liv Tyler sure put on significant pounds! Her face is still gorgeous nonetheless.
As for the movie, it is as good as can be expected. I wouldn't say it was jaw dropping and super duper exciting but overall, there was never a bored moment for me.
Can't say much except that it's a extremely safe movie to watch when you're looking for a good movie!

Before I go, everyone here (who has watched it) has been telling me how horrible The Happening was. Anyone out there who has watched it; could you give some reviews on it? I'm being extremely stubborn and want to watch it despite the bad reviews I've heard so far. However, I trust you all, so do leave comments if you can if you feel the need to change my mind or support me in my decision to watch it!
Thank you!
