TVC Shoot
Friday, February 8, 2008
I'd tell you the name of the brand but then it might affect the company's marketing strategy so gotta keep it on the hush hush.
For those who don't know, TVC = TV Commercial.
So Ju, Jean and I were working on our very first TVC but we won't enclose who our characters are.
You'd probably be throwing your head back laughing if you do.
And if you're interested in finding out..
It'll be airing on NTV7, from the 10th of March, everyday for a whole month.
BTW, it's a Cantonese commercial so it'd be airing during the Cantonese Dramas.
And yes, I cannot utter a single word of any dialect from China and I am admittedly, the epitome of BANANA but hey! I don't think I was too bad!
You can judge for yourself!
Anyhow... here are some shots on and off set!
I didn't post up most of the pictures we actually took because they were far too.... retarded and obscene to be shown to the public.
(Plus, Jean and Ju would murder me)
TVC Shoot (1st to 4th February, 2008)
We had a busy day on our first day of shoot @ Segi College so didn't take much pictures.
Then, during the night, we had a shoot @ 1utama and during our break...
Meet Dora the Explorer (played by Me), a Really Annoying Pig (played by Ju) & Elmo... I mean, EMO the Frog (played by Jean)!
Putting 3 overworked girls in Toys 'R' Us is seriously a bad idea.
If you saw the OTHER videos we made....... Well, you won't! And shouldn't.
And if you're wondering about Ju Nn's last statement of, "Indonesian workers!", well, she was referring to the Indonesian workers who came out in the newspapers recently who fought each other to the death.
Anyway...

Anyway...
That's what the whole wig business was all about.
3 sesat wannabe Dream Girls in 1u.
The next day, we had an all-night shooting @ the Loft, KL Central.
And honest, the place is really, pretty awesome which made us feel a whole lot better spending the night there.
The blur of the make-up artists.
Half of the living room and half of the bedroom.
View from the bedroom.
The not very discreet bathroom and a Ju Nn posing in it.
The fluffy white bed and an apparent sad Ju Nn posing with some... weeds.
Getting ready for another Dream Girls appearance.
Guess the silhouettes.
Justin & Me.
With Jean.
With Ju.
Wannabe Dream Girls.
Anyway, it was a long and tiring night and Justin caught me taking a quick snooze!
Snore.
And finally, the last day of work was @ Bangsar's Actor's Studio.
We did a lot of waiting which meant, again, a lot of crazy pictures but I'm gonna refrain from embarrassing ourselves.
Super Cleavage Boy & Mushroom Head.
And after hours of work, IT WAS FINALLY A WRAP!
Ahhhh. Felt so good that it was finally over.
Had dinner @ a Chinese Restaurant in Bangsar and an after-party @ Red Box, The Curve!
L-R: Kok Fai, Jan, Justin, Me, Ju & Miki.
(Jean went home early)
The talents, the clients and the Director in black! (Not Kok Fai)
Me & Ju @ Red Box.
Ah Fai & Me.
Recognize him? He's famousssssssss.
He's actually our local Chinese Artist and if you look at the Curve's Red Box Top 10 Most Popular Chinese Songs, one of his songs are in the top 2! So happeninggggg.
And there it is!
Am off now for dinner & gambling sessions!
Hope you all are having a great holiday :)

Natalia, how did you find all these part time job? where do you know all these stuffs like TVC shoot thingy? Being a freelancer before? Know any freelance job available? I want and I'm in dire need of a part time job. Let know me if you do.
Thanks!!
Hey!!
why don't u post the TVC shoot?
I wanna see lerh, I cant get NTV7 in Michigan... LoL*
:)
Anonymous: Heyy, my Sister recommended me to go for the casting actually. I guess I can be considered a freelancer but I don't do much of TVCs or modeling jobs anymore because I'm terribly busy! I think the best way to start is to go for castings! Just ask around for good talent agencies and go right up for a casting session and from there, you can get jobs :)
Yenn: Haha. If I have it, I will!
Could I know how much did they pay you for the TVC shoot?
