Mexico Day 6 & 7
Sunday, January 25, 2009
Finally, my LAST Mexico post--Mexico Day 6 & 7 (1st & 2nd of January, 2009)Iguanas getting their share of the sun.
Camouflage.
Josh, Erik & Max; chillin' in the deep blue.
Mohawk!
In the pool Jacuzzi with Max & Tere!
Hands! Haha. We expired cheerleaders still got it ;)
By the way, my underwater baby, the Olympus cam, has finally given up on me :( These underwater pictures above are the last few pictures I took with it. It k.o'd in Bali but thankfully after getting some pretty good footage first!! Time to get myself a NEW CAM!! Pretty excited about that ;)Back to Mexico... For dinner, we decided to spoil ourselves with a fancy dinner at an Italian Restaurant, Limoncello!
Home made baked Italian bread served with olive oil and sweet balsamic vinegar! Yumm.
Beef Tataki. All the while, I thought I was eating Tuna Tataki! That's how fresh and tender the Beef Tataki was, haha!
I think that's either a prawn or squid salad... but I'm pretty sure that's Josh. Haha.
Some seafood dish I can't be sure of. But that's Sarah & Josh!
With my uber yummy Seafood Risotto. I heart heart heart Risottosssss!!
Max & Tere with the SAME dish; Chicken Fillet & Pasta.
Erik with his Stuffed Farfalle pasta thingy, I believe.
Finished off our dinner with Limoncellos! I could barely take a sip though. I was afraid that if I actually attempted to finish it, all my awesome Risotto might end up in a toilet bowl.
Tere & her Mom didn't want theirs either so the boys ended up drinking our share.
The following day, and also our last day breathing the fresh Cancun air... Sigh! I miss Cancun :(
I adore FROOT LOOPS! Just about the most addictive snack I ever had. I wonder if they have them in Malaysia.... gonna go hunt for some.
The awesome beaccchhh.
Beautiful Cancun.
Perfect weather too!
Sob!! Cancun was sooo prettttyyy.
Really had an amazing trip to Cancun and actually, for the past few weeks, I've been going to pretty great places; Korea... my stopover before hitting Malaysia... but it's really only food, food and more food so I don't think I'd be blogging about it... and Bali, and also hopefully hitting some old favourites; Bangkok & Redang, maybe? Gotta collect some decent $$$ this festive season and I might be able to do just that ;) Have a GREAT and PROSPEROUS Chinese New Year Everyone!!! ***GONG XI FA CAI*** Labels: Mexico

I left Vancouver and look what's happened!. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Click on the pic to enlarge. That's the view of Downtown Vancouver from Cypress Mountain.Pretty friggin' awesome!!!By the way, I'm home from BALI and it was a kick-ass girly trip! ;) (bummer to be missing our lil' sonzy though...)I have sooooo much updates:#1 Day 6 & 7 of Mexico #2 Clubbin' @ Space #3 Jean's Birthday Countdown @ Redbox #4 Candice's Birthday Dinner @ Tony Roma's #5 Relaunch of Loft Upstairs #6 Jean, Candice & Benson's Birthday @ Phuture and of course, #7 Bali trip!! It's a little overwhelming for me but since everyone (thankfully Son will be around) is leaving town and I'm only doing a day trip, I guess I'll have more free time on my hands... assuming I'm not out collecting ANG POWS.But I'll do my best!
Mexico Day 5

Mexico Day 5 (31st of December, 2008)On our way to Cancun, we stopped by... IT'S A CHICKEN!!Okay, it's really called- CHICHEN ITZA...And not really pronounced as chicken. But we were trying to be funny. I love my dog! Heroooooo :) It almost looks like Hero but Hero has a one-eye patch.
Heading to ITZA CHICKEN!
The GREAT Chichen Itza. It's pretty cool.
Poserwhore!
My awesome yoga pose!
Apparently touching the Chichen Itza brings many many moons of good luck!
Wooohooo!
The rest of the gang!
It has a pretty cool history.... one in which I have almost completely forgotten. Wait, actually, I completely forgotten about it. It's just old ruins. But certain parts of the whole area (it's not really only this pyramid... but I was clearly too lazy to take any more pictures) looks like scenes from Apocalypto! That's probably the coolest thing I could get out of visiting this place.Upon reaching Cancun, us ladies did some shopping for our New Years dinner celeb while the boys did... their boy thang. It's a CHICKEN!!
Kim & Tammy.
Mr & Mrs Vo. They're so adorable sometimes ;)
Josh & Sarah! To date, the newlyweds! We had some confusion as to which time we should use for our countdown-- Vancouver, Toronto, Calgary, Texas, Mexico, or (as we were watching Ryan Seacrest's countdown in Times Square, New York on TV) New York. Of course, Mexico made the most sense. We manage to flip to the Mexican channel countdown (and bumping into some weird-ass pornographic channel on the way.. but let's not go there) just in time! After the countdown and after stuffing 12 grapes (1 for each month of the new year) for good luck, we headed out to party it up in the City of Cancun!
Bein' silly.
The boys.
The girls.
The awesome open-air clubs in Mexico. Weather was absolutely perfect for open air clubs! Was cool & breezy.
Party time!
We had zero alcohol the whole night and we still managed to be crazies.
Especially this one.
Is that a random guy's hand around Sarah???!! 0_o LOL.
You know you're having fun when you're dancing on the bar!
Also when you have helium balloons tied to the back of your dress as you walk around ;)Pretty awesome New Year's celebration! Definitely a New Year's to remember ;)
Now, now...BALI HERE WE COMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE :) Labels: Mexico
